CAPTAIN JOHN P. MONAHAN VFW POST 12136 AUXILIARY
Auxiliaries serve to benefit the communities in which they are established by carrying on various programs sponsored by the Veterans of Foreign Wars. The VFW and its Auxiliaries are well known for sponsorship of the Voice of Democracy Contest, Patriot's Pen Contest, Flag presentations, Citizenship Education, Community Service, Safety, Youth Activities, Hospital, Military and Veterans assistance, and other worthwhile programs and projects. These outstanding programs display the unselfish devotion that members of our organization feel towards our country.
Post 12136 Auxiliary Officers 2019-2020:
The Auxiliary meets the fourth Saturday of each month at the Del Webb Library, 7641 Charlotte Hwy, Indian Land, SC 29707. If the library is not available, we relocate to another location.
The Auxiliary raises funds to help veterans in need, visit veterans that are hospitalized, collects food for a Lancaster County School. Assist the VFW with scholarship programs for the Lancaster County Schools, distribute hand knit blankets to veterans who are ill or hospitalized and work with VFW on their programs and fund raisers. We are also involved the in the following Auxiliary programs.
The Auxiliary’s goal is to help local veterans and their families that are in need. We are proud to work alongside Post 12136 to honor and help our veterans.
